Restoration works completed for Delaitoga bridge and open to traffic

Good news for the people of Nairukuruku in Naitasiri, as the Fiji Roads Authority has completed the maintenance work on the Delaitoga bridge that was damaged by the heavy rain.

The timber deck of the existing structure were completely washed out.

The FRA contractor mobilized their teams to start the reinstatement works, and the timeline for restoration was estimated to be around 3 days at the latest.

Meanwhile, the restoration works have been completed, and the bridge is open to all traffic.

FRA has acknowledged the patience and cooperation of the people during their work and urged drivers to drive safely and follow all traffic guidelines.
