Serious concerns are being raised by drivers and eyewitnesses after the repeated blatant disregard of the road rules by many drivers at the traffic lights in many areas of Suva City.

This is being seen everyday from the morning to the afternoon at the traffic lights near the Ivi Triangle in the heart of Suva City where the drivers are seen running the red light.

Such irresponsible driver behaviour can result in serious or fatal accidents, however they continue to happen.

You can watch the video on our website, fijivillage.

We also contacted Police and the Land Transport Authority regarding this serious issue.

Police Chief of Operations, ACP Abdul Khan says they are liaising with LTA regarding the matter and they also call on drivers to be responsible and do the right thing.

We also contacted LTA however they have not responded.
