Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s new inclusion Selestino Ravutaumada scored a few impressive tries when they played the Australian Men’s 7s side in two scrimmage sessions yesterday afternoon.

The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua winger showed his class and blistering speed leaving defenders in his wake on the attack.

In defence, Ravutaumada put in a few dominant tackles and having great starts off the mark to prevent the opposition from gaining many metres in attack.

Fellow Fijian Drua teammate Iosefo Masi also had a chance to make an appearance and did not fail to impress as well.

The Fiji Men’s 7s will play another two matches against Australia today at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Coach Osea Kolinisau is expected to trim the squad down to 17 players from the current 24 players in camp by the end of this week.

The final 13-member squad is expected to be named 2 weeks prior to the Olympics.

The Olympics Rugby 7s will be held from the 25th to the 31st of July 2024.
