The inclusion of the 3 players Salestino Ravutaumada, Iosefo Masi, and Josaia Raisuqe in the final travelling squad for the 2024 Paris Olympics next month, is a big bonus for the team.

This was highlighted by coach Osea Kolinisau who says these 3 players bring with them the aggressiveness that the team needs.

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua duo Ravutaumada and Masi had a robust season in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific Competition this year and were deadly in attack and defence.

Raisuqe also had a great season in the French Top 14 for his Castres side and his ball carrying ability and his ruthless defence will surely be a great bonus to the team.

Kolinisau says the players selected for the Olympics have what it takes to operate at that level and he has faith the boys can deliver.

When questioned by fijivillage News on his views on their opponents in their pool, he says they are all tough teams, and they thrive on playing tough teams heading into this Olympics.

Kolinisau has urged the people of Fiji to support the players who have been chosen and to continue to pray for them as well.

The Fiji Men's 7s is in Pool C alongside hosts France, USA and debutants Uruguay.

The Men’s 7s competition will be held from the 25th to the 28th of next month.
