Despite the devastation left by Cyclone Rae, the administration of Ratu Finau Secondary School has taken proactive steps to restore normalcy for their students and staff.

Rather than waiting for full-scale assistance, the school’s administration and teachers have mobilized resources to begin repairing the damage.

Speaking to fijivillage News, the school administration revealed that they gathered leftover roofing materials supplied by the Ministry of Education to patch up classrooms and teachers' quarters.

They say this resourcefulness has enabled them to swiftly address immediate concerns and ensure students have a safe learning environment.

They added that the school sustained minimal damage, with only a few roofing sheets torn off, however, the dedication of the teachers goes beyond their regular duties.

Their commitment to restoring the school highlights a strong sense of responsibility and unity within the school community.

Their initiative not only facilitates a quicker recovery but also imparts a valuable lesson to students on the importance of unity and determination in overcoming challenges.
