Major repair works have started on Ratu Cakobau Park’s Pavilion A and the venue is expected to be ready to host sporting events by late January next year.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Nausori Town Council, Anurashika Bari says this will cost them over $200,000 and the council is fully funding the project.

Bari says the works include full repairs to the roof, seats, and cafeteria and they want to comply with Ministry of Labour’s occupancy requirements.

She says they will later do scoping works for repairs to Pavilion B.

Both pavilions suffered damages during TC Ana.
