The Dreketi Secondary School under 16 team has made history today as they have progressed to the Weet-Bix Raluve national semi finals following their 14-12 win over St. Vincent Secondary School in the quarter finals.
While speaking to fijivillage Sports, coach Isoa Bogitini credited their win to the Lord Almighty, as well as the hardwork showed by the players today.
Bogitini says their biggest motivation was the background of where they came from.
He says most of these players wanted to make this trip worth it, and they did so with flying colours.
Bogitini says they will take all the learnings from today's game into the semi final and hope to make amends to their mistakes.
In another Raluve u16 quarter final, Adi Cakobau School edged St. Theresa of Lisicux College 12-7.
The quarter finals of the Raluve Competition and the Vodafone Super Deans playoffs are currently underway at the Buckhurst Park and Bidesi Grounds in Suva.
