Minister for Local Government, Premila Kumar says that the Rakiraki bus stand project is now on its design phase.
Kumar says upon completion, the new Rakiraki Bus Stand will ensure that buses are no longer scattered throughout the streets of Rakiraki Town but are housed under one roof.
She says this will improve traffic flow in the town.
Kumar says some services of Rakiraki Town Council and other government departments will be shifting their services to a central facility once the Bus Stand Project is completed.
She says this will ensure a one-stop-shop for providing government services.
