A shop owner in Raiwaqa has raised serious concerns in relation to a series of shoplifting cases at their shop.

New Run International Limited Shop Manager Baonuea Tento says since July they have had 5 incidents of shoplifting, which have been caught on security cameras.

Tento says to alert other shop owners, they have decided to put these videos of people caught shoplifting on social media.

The videos show a couple stealing 8 tins of baby milk and other items.

A woman is seen hiding the milk tins under her skirt while her accomplice packed the items in a bag.

Another video showed a man stealing an MP3 player, while two men stole 2 bottles of ghee and a jar of mayonnaise.

Another man is seen stealing 1 kg of sugar however he fled the scene after another shopper caught him red-handed.

Police say they are exploring some leads in relation to the series of shoplifting cases at the New Run International Limited Shop in Raiwaqa.

Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says one of the cases reported by the shop owner has resulted in an arrest and the person has been produced in court.
