Education Minister, Aseri Radrodro stresses that teachers can report incidents to the police for assistance following Opposition MP Hem Chand's comments in Parliament that a teacher was being bullied and harassed by a school manager.

Chand questioned why the Ministry of Education is not taking action.

In response, Radrodro stresses the processes within the Ministry of Education, adding that for any incidents, there is an in-house process where a Professional Development Unit (PDU) is usually involved to address and investigate matters, and this process takes time.

Opposition MP Vijay Nath then questioned Radrodro on what can be done to safeguard teachers at schools, highlighting that some parents and guardians come to school and bully teachers.

Radrodro says that most schools are controlled by the governing authority through the management adding the school management should also take responsibility for their roles and responsibilities within the schools.
