Fiji Water Flying Fijian star backline Semi Radradra has been ruled out of the 2025 Pacific Nations Cup after he sustained an injury during club training.

The Fiji Rugby Union says the dual international, known for his explosive playmaking, has been ruled out for the entire PNC campaign, which will culminate in the Finals at Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

They say Radradra’s absence leaves a significant gap in the squad, but Head Coach Mick Byrne remains confident in the team’s depth.

Byrne says Radradra is a world-class player, and his presence will be missed; however, they have selected this PNC squad based on performance.

He also believes the young men in the squad will rise to the occasion when the pressure is on.

In Radradra’s absence, Joji Nasova has been called into the squad, marking his first tour as a Flying Fijian.

The rising talent will have a chance to make his mark in a competitive backline.

Byrne says the team welcomes Nasova into the squad, and he is excited to see him shine on the global stage, and this time in the 15s code.

The Flying Fijians' first PNC match will be against Tonga on the 30th of this month at 3pm at the HFC Bank Stadium.
