Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says three Government Ministers are currently under investigation by FICAC after some complaints however they have not communicated to him who the Ministers are.

While speaking to fijivillage News, Rabuka says whether the information is communicated to him or not, they will allow the investigation to proceed while the Ministers continue to perform in their roles, because the presumption of innocence is part of the law in Fiji.

On the calls made by the Leader of Opposition, Inia Seruiratu and former Prime Minister and Fiji Labour Party Leader, Mahendra Chaudhry that the Ministers be stood down until investigations are complete ensuring no interference, Rabuka says there is no justification for this.

Rabuka says the Ministers have not opted to take that step.

He adds he cannot call for them to do that because he will allow the investigations if any to proceed.
