I believe in you and I have confidence in you, don’t let me down. Let’s do it, for the people of Fiji.

This was the sentiment expressed by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka while hosting Permanent Secretaries to a special dinner at Borron House at the close of Civil Service Day.

Rabuka whilst acknowledging their contributions to the nation’s governance, he also reflected on the week-long Civil Service celebrations, stating that it was a necessary, collective tribute from the head of government, ministries, and departments to express gratitude to civil servants who bear the burden of governance in this land.

He highlighted that the success or failure of any organisation, agency, ministry, or Government, depends on how well individual members have carried out their mission.

Rabuka says civil servants must set new targets and new measurements of success that they can drive themselves forward.

Rabuka says he demands the very top, the very best performance from them to give the people of Fiji a stable nation, a prosperous nation where we can live together in harmony and look forward to a better and brighter future where they can improve on the quality of life and standard of living.
