People’s Alliance Leader Sitiveni Rabuka

People’s Alliance Leader Sitiveni Rabuka says he is grateful that the government is on the ground and responding to people’s needs following devastating flooding in various parts of the country in the last few days but response efforts would have been handled better if the whole machinery where the village was linked to the tikina and the province was linked to the division was properly established.

He says in this proven system there was networking on the ground.

Rabuka has made the observation after visiting Wailotua Village 1 in Wainibuka along the Kings Highway and also parts of Lautoka and Nadi.

Wailotua village 1 was severely impacted with homes underwater.

Rabuka says they tried to assist with the little they could give.

Rabuka says he will visit and speak to more people based on what their people on the ground are saying.
