People’s Alliance Party Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka confirms that he had a meeting in Labasa on Friday night after an invitation by Labasa businessman, Charan Jeath Singh.

Singh is a prominent member and former candidate of the National Federation Party.

Rabuka says he had a good discussion with those that attended the meeting at Grand Eastern Hotel.

Rabuka says he stressed to people to get registered and ensure their voter ID card has the same name as their birth certificate.

The former Prime Minister says he will also be going to some areas in Macuata this week.

When questioned by fijivillage on whether he is joining the People’s Alliance Party, Charan Jeath Singh said he will announce his future plans on Friday.

Singh did not want to say if he is leaving the NFP.

When we contacted NFP Leader, Professor Biman Prasad, he said that he will comment after Singh’s statement.

While speaking on fijivillage Straight Talk With Vijay Narayan in October 2018, FijiFirst General Secretary, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum had said the FijiFirst returned Charan Jeath Singh’s $10,000 cheque in 2014 as he donated the money and then wanted to be a FijiFirst candidate.
