Students of Ratu Kadavulevu School received new computers worth more than $36,000 that will boost their educational tools to assist in their school work.

The handover of the new desktop computers is expected to assist students with their computer classes and generally with academic qualifications at the secondary school level.

Assistant Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister and former RKS student Sakiusa Tubuna encouraged the students to work hard and to achieve their purpose of study in the institution.

He says don't be complacent and look for something meaningful to lay their hands on such as reading books.

Tubuna urged the students to set their targets for the year and, within it, their individual goals for the term.

He told the students to start thinking about what they want to do in life and follow it up with the necessary study plan to execute this plan from when they begin Year 9.

He adds that students should not wait until they reach Year 12 to do this.

The Assistant Minister says they want to hear the news of the school that is positive and that students have passed their academics with good results.

Tubuna told the students not to be complacent and don’t allow any time to pass by aimlessly.

He advised the students that nowadays, some children don’t read books, but what students do at school will help them when they go out from here into the world.
