The Republic of Fiji Military Forces Band will host the biggest band performance in the country on the 8th of next month.

The Band will perform at the ANZ stadium and it will be the first time that a military tattoo is conducted locally with only local bands to perform.

Committee chairman, Commander Lepani Vaniqi says that the Military band has been known for years as the peoples' band and has been a good ambassador for the Fiji government and the Fijian people.

Vaniqi says that members of the public are invited to come and enjoy a fine day of great entertainment which will also feature a mass choir of 100 people, fireworks and top local band performances.

A tribute segment dedicated to the former members of the RFMF band will also be held to acknowledge their sacrifice of sweat, blood and tears since World War One.

Vaniqi says that talk is also underway for an international band to participate in the event.

Meanwhile, Children from orphanages home around the country will be hosted by RFMF Band on the last day of rehearsals on the 7th of next month.

The gates will be open from 3pm whereby selected top local artists will be providing entertainment to the public until 7pm when the Military tattoo proper will commence as the performance will require darkness in order to synchronize with light effects.

The tickets will be on sale from the vicinity of ANZ Bank in Suva and at the ANZ headquarters.

Tickets price varies from $30 grandstand, $25 for the temporary stand, $15 for embankment and $5 for the children under the age of 8 years for the embankment.
