The former President of Fiji and Commander-in-Chief of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, was honoured with a farewell Dining-Out at the Officers' Mess in Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Nabua, by the RFMF Officers.

Ratu Wiliame expressed his gratitude to the RFMF for their support during his three-year term as President and Commander-in-Chief.

He also thanked the Commander of the RFMF, Major-General Ro Jone Kalouniwai, and the entire RFMF for their commendable initiative and outstanding efforts in promoting restoration and reconciliation within the RFMF and the nation.

Ratu Wiliame says they should continue to uphold the RFMF ethos—the Dina, Dodonu, and Savasava—and keep working together for a better tomorrow.

He stressed they should also continue to honour the institution they serve.

Also present at the Dining-Out were Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka; the former President of Fiji, Brigadier-General (Retired) Ratu Epeli Nailatikau; and the Minister for Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management, Sakiasi Ditoka.
