A leader must be honest and truthful and God-fearing.

That was part of the comments made by the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forests and National Disaster Management Inia Seruiratu at the Queen Victoria School Passing Out Parade yesterday.

Speaking to more than 600 students, Seruiratu said QVS was established to prepare and groom leaders and Cadet training was introduced to the school to support this noble intention.

The military colonel said Vulinitu has a proud history and its establishment in 1906 was for two main reasons.

He said the objectives were to ensure that chiefs continue to occupy prominent places in Fiji, and to provide Fijian boys with the necessary education and training.

However, he said with the increase in cases of abuse of women and children should be a concern and this is due to the absent in leadership.

QVS Headboy and Parade Commander, Mesulame Dolokoto was awarded the Baton of Honour acknowledged the boys for their hard work during the 6 weeks training.
