Mother of three, Mereani Folau Kacilala was overcome with emotion after passing out from the Fiji Police Force.Â
Kacilala told fijivillage News that her children were her greatest source of motivation and strength throughout the demanding 19-week training programme.
Reflecting on her journey, she expressed gratitude for the unwavering support and encouragement of her family, particularly her husband and children, who stood by her throughout the challenging yet rewarding experience.
Her achievement marks a proud milestone for her family, showcasing determination, resilience, and the importance of family support in achieving one's goals.
She said that through her faith in God and self-determination, she was able to successfully complete the training.
Kacilala is no stranger to rigorous training, having played netball for many years and previously being part of the extended training squad for the Fiji Pearls.
Her mother and three children were present at the Nasova Grounds to celebrate her achievement, making the occasion even more special.
Kacilala said she is now ready to serve the nation and its people with pride and commitment.

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, who was the chief guest at the ceremony, reminded the officers to carry out their duties in accordance with police ethics and professional standards.
He also urged the new officers to uphold the standards of the force and lead by example as law-abiding citizens.
More than 150 police officers took part in the pass-out parade.
