QVS U14 book semi final spot after thrashing Nasinu 44-0

Marist U14 edges RKS 7-6

The Queen Victoria School U14 side have booked their place in the semi finals of the Vodafone Super Deans competition after a commanding 44-0 win over Nasinu Secondary School this morning.

The boys from Vulinitu scored a total of 8 tries and two conversions.

QVS took a comfortable 15-0 at the break through three unconverted tries from Joseph Daveta, Vakacegu Kalou, and Savenaca Cavalevu.

Emosi Levula and John Lachlan both scored two tries each along with Taniela Dau as QVS came out firing in the second half.

Nasinu tried to break the QVS line of defence of but couldn't as QVS held their ground.

QVS head coach Josaia Waiwalu told fijivillage Sports that it was all about paying attention to the small details.

Waiwalu says they also stressed the importance of sticking to the basics and executing their game plan.

Now as the turn their focus to the semi finals, Waiwalu says they will focus on having self control and containing the level of excitement and hope for the best next weekend.

Meanwhile, in another U14 quarter final that was played this morning, Marist Brothers' High School edged Ratu Kadavulevu School 7-6.

The U15 quarter finals between RKS and Marist, as well as QVS and Natabua High School are currently underway.
