The services provided by ministries must meet citizens’ needs promptly, ensuring they receive help without being told to return another day due to the absence of the person responsible for their issue or case.

This has been highlighted by the Minister for Employment, Productivity, and Workplace Relations, Agni Deo Singh, during the opening of the Enhancing Public Sector Productivity Training at Suvavou House, where he says the public servants must be multi-skilled and be able to serve our people.

Singh says they must gain the citizens' trust and be prioritized, and it begins with the delivery of public service at the front office.

He says the public sector plays a crucial role in the nation’s development and well-being.

Singh says the public sector is the backbone of governance, the provider of essential services, and the custodian of citizens’ trust.

He says citizens expect not only efficiency but also transparency, accountability, and a commitment to excellence in service delivery.

The minister adds that this training program demonstrates their dedication to fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the public sector
