Promoting sports excellence in youths in Fiji - Gopalan

We firmly believe in the power of sports, to inspire and nurture young athletes, and this partnership reflects its commitment to empowering and promoting sports excellence in Fiji.

R.C. Manubhai & Co. Pte Ltd CEO Uppiliappan Gopalan, stated this adding they are thrilled to support Josephine Grace Debalevu and Alex Chand as they represent Fiji in the Pacific Oceania Team in the ITF/OTF Tennis Tournament taking place in Australia & New Caledonia respectively.

He says Josephine and Alex’s achievements and dedication to their sport make them outstanding ambassadors for Fiji, and they are confident that their talent and hard work will bring glory to our nation.

The CEO adds Josephine is seeded No. 1 in the 16 years girls category, will showcase her skills and determination in the upcoming Tennis Tournament in New Caledonia which is scheduled from June 8th till the 26th.

He adds Alex who is also seeded No. 1 in the 12 & 14 years category will be representing Fiji in the Pacific Oceania Team taking place in Australia from 19th to 28th June 2023.

Josephine and Alex will be testing their abilities against the best players in their age group.

Gopalan also says they will be providing Josephine and Alex with financial assistance, equipment, and other resources to ensure they can fully focus on their training and performance during these highly anticipated tournaments.

He says R.C. Manubhai is known for its commitment to supporting local talent and fostering the growth of sports in Fiji and is proud to sponsor them in their respective tennis tournaments.
