Pregnant woman hospitalised after alleged cane knife attack by husband in Waiqanake

The home in Waiqanake cordoned off with Police tape

A woman is admitted in hospital after she was allegedly struck with a cane knife by her drunk husband in Waiqanake Village, Rewa.

Police say the man is in custody after the incident on Friday morning.

They say the woman is still admitted at the CWM Hospital.

An eyewitness says the woman was pregnant at the time of the incident.
