Labasa businessman Parmod Chand has been appointed as the new President of the National Federation Party.

Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration and former President of NFP, Pio Tikoduadua did the handover during the Annual General Meeting yesterday at Penang Sangam School in Rakiraki.

Tikoduadua says six years ago, he was elected for this position and with a great sense of gratitude and pride, he has handed over the reins of the party to Chand.

NFP will hold its 60th-anniversary celebration and convention today in Rakiraki.
