The Fiji Water Flying Fijians will be expecting a tough clash against Portugal in their final 2023 Rugby World Cup pool C clash on Monday.

Head coach Simon Raiwalui says Portugal is a very good team and they love to play rugby.

Raiwalui says he will be not surprised about their opponent as the Flying Fijians have been looking at Portugal since they knew they were in the same pool.

He says Portugal plays a really good brand of rugby and they have shown that at this World Cup and they have got a very exciting back three and their forwards are coming into their own as well.

He adds they put pressure on the Wallabies at scrum time and they had a good lineout when they met last week.

Flying Fijians halfback Frank Lomani says Portugal is a good side and they are very good with ball in hand.

Lomani says Fiji have a lot of respect for Portugal, but they are just focusing on themselves for now.

The Flying Fijians will take on Portugal at 7am Monday in Toulouse.

Meanwhile, RWC host France finished top of pool A after demolishing Italy 60-7 this morning to continue their unbeaten run in the tournament.

In other matches that have been played, the All Blacks thrashed Uruguay 73-0 yesterday.

In the upcoming matches, Wales will take on Georgia at 1am tomorrow, England will play Samoa at 3.45am tomorrow, Ireland will play Scotland at 7am tomorrow, Japan will take on Argentina at 11pm tomorrow, Tonga will take on Romania at 3.45am Monday while the Flying Fijians will play Portugal at 7am Monday.

Fiji will only need 1 point from this match to qualify for the 2023 RWC quarter finals.
