Police are yet to arrest or question anyone in relation to the alleged gang rape of a 17 year old girl in Kadavu by a group of nine youths.
Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says they are still in the process of getting information from the girl and she has to undergo a medical check.
The girl was allegedly raped in an empty house.
Police say the girl had left her village following a disagreement with a family member and had sheltered in the vacant home in the next village where the alleged incident occurred.
The girl relayed the matter to another relative and it was reported by the Turaga Ni Koro.
