The country is seeing a recent rise in incidents involving the assault of bus drivers, raising concerns about the safety of public transport users, and prompting police to increase awareness efforts and boost visibility on the roads.

Police say officers have been conducting regular visits to bus companies, reminding drivers and operators of safety protocols and encouraging a safe working environment.

Authorities say the suspects involved in the assaults have been arrested, charged, and produced in court.

They have also assured the public that they will continue to maintain a visible presence on the roads as part of efforts to prevent further incidents and ensure the safety of all road users.

Members of the public are encouraged to report any acts of violence or misconduct.
