A 24-year-old Police officer will appear in the Suva Magistrates Court today for allegedly stealing more than $3,000 from a 66-year-old man of Sigatoka in March last year.
Police say following consultations with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, the officer has been charged with one count of theft.
They confirm she was arrested yesterday.
The officer is already on interdiction, having earlier been charged in another alleged extortion case involving a Nasinu businessman.
