The three crew members who were onboard the local fishing vessel, FV Tiro 2 are still being questioned by Police.

Police have confirmed they are investigating allegations that a murder happened on board the vessel on Monday about 90 miles west of Navula Passage outside of Momi Bay.

It is alleged that 8 crew members had jumped overboard after the unfortunate incident took place.

Police say they are trying to establish what transpired on board the vessel.

They say for now they are trying to put together what happened before releasing any other information.

The search also continues for two Fijians and three Indonesian nationals who were on board the vessel.

The Fiji Navy with the assistance of the Royal New Zealand Air Force aircraft, rescued one of the crew members late yesterday afternoon who was onboard a life-raft.

Another two survivors, both Fijians who had remained on board the distressed Fiji flagged vessel were picked up early yesterday morning by a partner fishing vessel Sam Weon 11.
