The Shop N Save Police Rugby team is fully aware of the task ahead of them in the upcoming Ratu Sukuna Bowl challenge and is ready to put their bodies on the line to defend the top honour again against the Republic of Fiji Military Forces this year.

President, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mesake Waqa says the message to the players from the Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew was very clear and focused on humility.

ACP Waqa says with all competitions, everyone prepares and trains for a win, and just as the Police camp is eager to defend the title, so too, will the RFMF be eager for the win.

He says the players and officials have vowed to put all on the line to defend the title for the organisation, families and supporters.

ACP Waqa says that as the Fiji Police Force celebrates its 150th Anniversary, the aim towards excellence is to prepare the best Fiji Police rugby team, representing policing families, friends, and past and present police officers.

ACP Waqa is calling on all Police supporters to come down and support their teams in their respective sports, and he wishes the RFMF all the best as hosts of this year’s tournament.

Police will take on Army in the main rugby match next Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

The 2024 Ratu Sukuna Bowl Tournament begins next Tuesday with the Boxing Competition in Suva.
