Police Mobile Force Commanding Officer Senior Superintendent of Police Luke Rogoyawa says policing has become more challenging, complex, and diverse as emphasis has shifted from the traditional role of crime prevention and investigation to a more pro-active role through community policing initiatives.

While speaking during Police Mobile Force family awards night, Rogoyawa says to fulfill a wide variety of roles, policing has become a lot more demanding and dangerous.

He thanked all those who organized the event, stating that the awards night helps them recognize the loyalty of officers of all ranks.

Rogoyawa has reminded the officers that the shared values are part of the twine that binds them together as a family while the future environment for policing will continue to challenge them.

He has encouraged everyone to work together to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the police mobile force.
