Phase 4 of the FNPF’s COVID-19 relief assistance will end on the 31st of March, 2021.

Phase 4 was for those members who have been unemployed since January 2010 to September 2019 and are still unemployed.

The COVID-19 withdrawal relief for Phases 2 and 3 have been extended to June.

FNPF confirms Phase 3 Round 4 will open next Monday on 15th March 2021.

It says Phase 3 Round 4 is for FNPF members who are still at work but are on reduced hours or a reduced wage rate.

Phase 2 Round 5 will open a week later on Monday - 22nd March 2021.

FNPF says Phase 2 Round 5 is for FNPF members who are still on leave without pay due to COVID-19 or were unemployed from October 2019.

FNPF Acting CEO Viliame Vodonaivalu says Phase 4 can only be accessed once.

He says when they opened Phase 4 in August last year, 11,000-plus members have since applied.

Vodonaivalu adds this is well below the estimated number of members that qualified for this Phase.

He says given the low number of applications still being received for this phase, they will now close Phase 4 on March 31st, 2021.
