Perth 7s: Australian men’s and women’s 7s teams through to the final

The Australian 7s teams will be looking to win the men’s and women’s titles at the HSBC Perth 7s after both teams win their semi final matches, respectively.

The Australian Men’s side defeated South Africa 17-12, and the women’s side beat Canada 24-17.

The men’s team will take on Argentina at 11.35 tonight in the men’s final, while the women’s team will meet rivals New Zealand at 12.11am tomorrow in the women’s final.

Argentina thrashed Spain 40-5 in the first men’s semi final to book their spot in the final, while the New Zealand women’s 7s team thrashed France 36-7.

Looking at the men’s results, Ireland edged the USA 19-17 in the 11th-place playoff, and New Zealand beat Kenya 19-12 in the 9th-place playoff.

Looking at the women’s results, Spain defeated Ireland 24-12 in the 11th-place playoff, and Fijiana beat Great Britain 26-17 in the 9th-place playoff.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side will meet France at 9.27 tonight in the 5th-place playoff.
