Family and fans turned out in numbers today to welcome the Rooster Chicken Fijiana 15’s team after they won the Oceania Rugby Women's Championship in Auckland yesterday.
Captain, Bitila Tawake says this championship was a great exposure for them as they prepare for the World Cup later in the year.
Tawake adds that they are expecting a tough competition amongst the players as they fight for their spot.
The Fijiana are expected to have a few warm-up matches before the Women’s Rugby World Cup in New Zealand from October to November.
