People return to Bars and Taverns after 7 months

People line up to get into the clubs last night after 7 months.

Party lovers returned to Bars and Taverns for the first time in 7 long months last night following the easing of restrictions.

We visited a few Bars and Taverns in Suva where we saw people come out with friends and family to have a good time and enjoy their drinks.

Some people we spoke to say it feels good to be back.

As stated by the Ministry of Commerce and Trade, dancing is strictly not allowed in Bars and Taverns and people were sitting around their own tables.

People were also seen lining up outside Bars and Taverns to wait for their turn to go inside so that the 80% capacity is not breached.

Security guards outside were checking vaccination cards for those that were going in while the COVID-19 Taskforce Team was also present to ensure all COVID guidelines are followed.
