The Yavusa of Munia in Vanuabalavu, Lau gathered today to raise funds in support of their efforts to purchase their island back.

The Turaga ni Koro of Yavea, Etuate Uni, says the Munia people are striving to reclaim their ancestral island, which they were forced to leave decades ago.

He adds their deep connection to their homeland and their commitment to preserving it for future generations.
