People in parts of Suva to experience intermittent water supply tomorrow

People living in elevated parts of Flagstaff and Domain, as well as surrounding areas in Suva may experience intermittent supply of water from 4 am to 5 pm tomorrow.

Affected areas include Ratu Sukuna Road, Queen Elizabeth Drive, Muanikau Road, Laucala Bay Road, Bau Road, McGregor Road, Domain Road, Victoria Parade from Sukuna Park to Nasese, Nailuva, Rewa Street, Gordon Street, Knolly Street, Fletcher Road, Flagstaff to Suva Point, Damodar City, University of the South Pacific.

Water Authority of Fiji says the temporary interruption in water supply is to allow WAF ground teams to carry out urgent repairs to a leaking section of the DN600 bulk supply main at the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua, preventing further major water disruptions.

They say water carting trucks are on standby to service the affected areas during the temporary disruption period.

WAF urges customers to conserve and always store sufficient amounts of water to last them for at least two to three days in their homes at all times.
