Naqarawai District in Namosi is a hive of activity as the Fiji Airways national 7s will be camped at the village until Friday.

Simeli Sautakelo who lives in Naqarawai Village says the district of Naqarawai which consists of Naqarawai, Wainimakutu and Naraiyawa Village are taking care of the players

Sautakelo says the people in the village have not only gotten a chance to see the Fijian team train but it has also given some of the players a glimpse of what village life is like.

He says he was happy when his cousin, 7s rep Joseva Talacolo informed him to arrange transport to the village.

Talacolo is from Naqarawai Village while his team-mate, Filipe Sauturaga is from Wainimakutu Village.

He says people from Naraiyawa, Wainimakutu and Naqarawai Villages are providing meals for the team.

He further says watching the boys train in the village ground every afternoon is like watching them play in a tournament.

Meanwhile, the next leg for the World Sevens Series is Dubai 7s on the 2nd and 3rd of December 2023.
