Pearls suffer first loss in Pacific Netball Series after 61-48 loss to First Nations Australia

The Fiji Pearls fell to their first defeat of the Pacific Netball Series after losing 61-48 to First Nations Australia in round 3 of the competition last night.

Fiji put up a great fight in the game as they trailed First Nations Australia 16-9 in the first quarter before taking out the second quarter 17-14.

First Nations Australia came back and clinched the 3rd and 4th quarters 16-8 and 15-14 respectively to secure the win.

Fiji secured two wins in the opening two rounds of the competition beating Singapore 67-52 and Samoa 64-55.

The Pearls will now turn their focus to their fourth match against Tonga Tala at 9pm tomorrow
