A qualified psychologist has raised concerns on how our society, that professes to be Christian, have become so cold that even parents and adults are pushing children to go out and sell drugs.

Father Ioane Sigarara who holds a Masters in Counselling Psychology highlighted this to fijivillage News, saying the drug problem is clearly out in the open.

He says the first step is to raise awareness and bring the issue to light.

The Saint Agnes Parish Priest says for the last six weeks, they have been using the opportunity to talk about the plague of drugs in their community.

He says they have brought in experts, the police, staff from St. Giles Hospital, medical doctors, and they have even had parishioners talk about this.

Father Sigarara says we cannot be pretending that everything is alright when it is not.
