The Panthers have lost just once since that early slump and entered the match on a six-game winning streak, lifting them to sixth on the NRL ladder.
The Wests Tigers have had a mixed start to the season, registering five wins from their opening 10 games.
They came into this clash sitting 12th on the ladder, following two more weeks of inconsistency — winning one and losing one.
