Panthers survive Titans comeback

The Penrith Panthers survived a late comeback from the Gold Coast Titans to secure a 30-26 win in the NRL last night.

The Panthers started strong with four unanswered tries in the first half through Thomas Jenkins, Dylan Edwards, Blaize Talagi, and Casey McLean.

The Panthers led 24-0 at halftime.

The Titans came back firing in the second half with five tries.

Brian Kelly started the scoring in the 48th minute, followed by Jayden Campbell and Sam Verrills.

Winger Phillip Sami scored a double to put the Titans in the lead, but Talagi scored for the Panthers in the dying seconds to seal their win.

The defending champions are currently in fifth place with 29 points in the NRL standings.

The Raiders are in first place with 36 points, followed by the Storm and the Bulldogs, who both have 34 points each.

Looking at the results from this week, the Storm beat the Eels 16-10, the Dolphins edged the Warriors 20-18, the Broncos thrashed the Rabbitohs 60-14, the Dragons beat the Raiders 18-12, and the Roosters defeated the Sea Eagles 20-4.

Coming up today, the Wests Tigers will face the Bulldogs at 4pm and the Sharks will meet the Cowboys at 6.05pm.
