The collaboration on enhancing teachers’ skills and accelerating their learning will empower a dynamic and effective educational environment.

While officiating during the Pacific Regional Workshop at the Holiday Inn Suva, the Assistant Minister for Education Iliesa Vanawalu says empowering teachers with necessary skills and knowledge is paramount.

He says when teachers are equipped with innovative teaching strategies and effective classroom management techniques, they can create a stimulating learning environment that caters to diverse learning styles.

Vanawalu further says investing in teachers will also foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within educational institutions, share ideas, refine their teaching methods collaboratively and promote supportive professional growth.

The Assistant Minister says that prioritising the continuous professional development of educators will not only invest in the success of individual students but also contribute to the advancement of society as a whole.

Participants from Tonga, Kiribati, Papua New Guinea, Marshall Islands, Micronesia and Tuvalu are part of the three day Pacific Regional Workshop.
