Winning the Asahi Super Dry Pacific Nations Cup final today is our primary goal.
FIJI Water Flying Fijians coach Mick Byrne highlighted this to the media this week saying this is an opportunity to bring the Cup back home to Fiji.
Byrne says their secondary goal is the Rugby World Cup 2027, and they need to make sure that they are continuing to grow their team and understanding what it is to be part of this team. He says the PNC has given them another great opportunity to blood some young players like Joji Nasova, who came on and did really well.
It was an emotional moment last night during the jersey presentation as all management and non-starting players presented the jerseys to the 23 warriors who will take the field tomorrow.
More so for Ponipate Loganimasi, who received his jersey from his father, Joeli Kalougata, who now lives in Utah.
The Flying Fijians play Japan at 1.35pm today at America First Field, Salt Lake City, Utah.
