PM urges 7s warriors to play with passion, resilience, and the warrior spirit of the Fijian rugby

Play with passion, resilience, and the warrior spirit that has become synonymous with Fijian rugby.

These were the words of encouragement and faith from Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka as he bid farewell to the Fiji Airways Men's and Women's 7s team as they prepare to compete in the upcoming Dubai and the Cape Town 7s in South Africa next month.

Rabuka expressed the collective support of the nation towards the Fiji 7s team and emphasized that the entire country stands behind them and that their remarkable achievements contribute to the overall morale and spirit of Fijians.

The Prime Minister also emphasized the significance of unity and love within the team, encouraging them to support each other and foster a strong sense of camaraderie.

He encouraged the players to give their all on the field and play to the best of their ability.

The Fiji Men’s 7s side will take on the USA at 6.06pm Saturday in their first pool match, then they will then play France at 9.52pm Saturday before playing Great Britain at 4am Sunday in their final pool match.

The cup quarter finals will begin at 6.58pm Sunday, the cup semi finals will kick off at 10.04pm Sunday and the final will be at 3.53am Monday.

Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s will take on Great Britain at 5.44pm Saturday in their first match, before playing South Africa at 8.43pm Saturday in their second pool match.

They will take on New Zealand at 1.35am Sunday in their final pool match.

The women’s cup quarter-finals will kick off at 5.30pm Sunday, the semi-finals will kick off at 9.20pm Sunday and the cup final will be at 3.13am Monday.
