Students of Sawaieke District School and Vanuaso District School are expected to benefit from the two 23 feet fiberglass boats and 40 horsepower Suzuki outboard engines that was handed over by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.

The students also received school furniture through the Small Grants Scheme within the Office of the Prime Minister.

Bainimarama says he had made these commitments previously, but he is here to ensure that they follow promises made to the school.

He also reminded the priority of the Fijian Government falls on ensuring that every Fijian child has the opportunity to attend school without any financial restrictions.

Meanwhile, Bainimarama also handed over farming assistance to the farmers on the island which includes a 7-tonne truck, post peeler and 4x4 vehicle to the Narocake Pine Scheme on behalf of the Ministry of Forestry.
