Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama and other cabinet ministers met Health Ministry officials in Toorak regarding the next steps to take in relation to the COVID-19 cases in the country.

After the daily briefing, Bainimarama says the forum was updated on the latest COVID-19 situation and response efforts.

The Office of the Prime Minister says the COVID-19 response in Fiji has been a whole of Government effort under the leadership of the Prime Minister bringing Fijians through what has been a very difficult time not only for Fijians, but all over the world.

It says in times like this, keeping citizens informed and engaged is critical in ensuring there is a concerted effort in combating the impact of the pandemic.

Bainimarama says adherence to the COVID-safe measures, everywhere in Fiji, at every level of society, is the only sustainable way to manage this crisis.

Please wear masks, practice social distancing, download the careFIJI app, and stay home.

Health Minister, Doctor Ifereimi Waqainabete says this is a whole of nation effort and they need everyone to keep doing their part especially with COVID safe measures.

Doctor Waqainabete has tweeted God is with us Fiji and He is good.

Permanent Secretary for Health, Doctor James Fong will make a statement this evening.

The time is not confirmed.

We will have live coverage on fijivillage.
