Fiji Airways National 7s coach Osea Kolinisau says coming into the HSBC Dubai SVNS their goal was to qualify top of the group.

Kolinisau says they have done that thanks to the hard work put in by the team.

He says their game was not perfect as they made a lot of mistakes against New Zealand.

The coach says they did not capitalise on a lot of opportunities that they had.

Fiji beat USA 42-20 in their final pool match, before that they thumped New Zealand 21-12 and edged Spain 21-15.

Fiji will play France at 7.32 tonight in the third quarter final.

In other men’s quarter finals today, Great Britain will take on Spain in the first quarter final at 6.48pm, South Africa will take on NZ at 7.10pm and Argentina will take on Australia at 7.54pm.

The men’s cup semi finals will kick off at 10.06 tonight and the cup final will be at 4.11am tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side will take on China in the 9th place playoff at 9 tonight.
