The organisers of the Fiji Bitter Yalovata 7s are looking to continue the work of completing projects they have set out every year after every Yalovata 7s tournament since its inception.

Yalovata 7s Vice President Meli Volau says every year, they invent new projects to work on after their tournament.

Volau says last year, they worked on building new footpaths through the Baba settlement in Levuka, the home of the Yalovata 7s rugby team.

He says they also managed to install three new lamp posts and it was all through the funds raised from the tournament.

Volau says this year they will be looking to install more street lights through the dark areas in the Baba settlement.

Meanwhile, 29 teams have confirmed their participation in the tournament so far in the men’s division, 5 teams in the women’s division and 20 teams in the under-21 division.

The Fiji Bitter Yalovata 7s tournament will be held from this Thursday to Saturday at Nasau Park in Ovalau.
